Frequently asked

The questions property owners and managers ask most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, ask us directly in your site assessment.
The basics
What does Honeypot Vending actually do?
Honeypot Vending places and manages vending machines for apartments, workplaces, healthcare spaces, laundromats, and high-traffic properties. We handle placement, stocking, service, product requests, refunds, and ongoing adjustments.
Where do you operate?
Currently Fresno, Clovis, and Madera. We plan to expand farther across the Central Valley as route density grows.
Is there an upfront cost?
No upfront cost for approved placements. Qualification is based on traffic, space, power access, visibility, serviceability, and whether the location can support a reliable vending experience.
Do you require a contract?
Yes. Every placement includes a clear 12-month renewable agreement. The agreement defines placement expectations, access, service responsibilities, and renewal terms.
Do you offer revenue share or commission?
For most placements the value is a managed amenity at no upfront cost, with no work for your team. Where it makes sense for a location, a revenue share can be arranged as part of the agreement. We confirm any commercial terms in writing before placement.
How is this different from a typical vending company?
Honeypot Vending is built around fit, feedback, and accountability. We assess the location before recommending a machine, allow users to request products, adjust the mix using sales data, and manage the service so your team does not have to.
Qualifying your location
What makes a location qualify?
We look at foot traffic, available space, power access, visibility, and service access. The location should be able to support a clean, reliable placement that people actually use. We confirm all of it during the site assessment.
What does the location need to provide?
A suitable space, standard power, and reasonable service access. We confirm placement, power, visibility, and connectivity during the site assessment.
Do we need Wi-Fi?
No. Machines that use telemetry run on their own cellular connection where supported, so you do not need to provide Wi-Fi or network access.
What happens if our location is not a fit?
We tell you directly. If the traffic, space, or access cannot support a placement we can stand behind, we will say so rather than place a machine that underperforms. We would rather pass than put in something we cannot keep accountable.
Service & accountability
What is your response time when something goes wrong?
Service requests are acknowledged the same business day. Where machine telemetry is available, we use it to identify issues faster and improve restocking decisions.
How often do you restock?
Restock cadence is matched to how quickly a location moves product. We use sales patterns and service checks to keep machines stocked, and the agreement defines the restock standard for your placement.
Who handles refunds or complaints?
Honeypot Vending does. Support information is posted on the machine so users know how to reach us directly.
What happens if the machine underperforms?
We watch usage from day one. If a machine is not performing, we adjust the product mix, review placement, and rotate slow-moving items. If it still is not right for the location, we address it rather than leave a machine that does not earn its place.
Can we remove the machine if it is not working for the property?
Yes. The 12-month renewable agreement defines how placements are reviewed and ended. If vending genuinely is not working for your property, we work with you on next steps rather than hold a machine somewhere it does not belong.
Are you insured?
Yes. Honeypot Vending carries general liability insurance, and every placement operates under a clear written agreement.
Products & The Request Shelf
Can residents, employees, or customers request products?
Yes. Machines can include The Request Shelf, a simple way for users to request products they would like to see. We review requests alongside sales data, product availability, shelf life, and machine compatibility.
Is every product request guaranteed?
No. We consider demand, supplier availability, shelf life, machine compatibility, and sales performance before adding new items.
Can we approve product categories?
Yes. We agree on the product direction for your location and avoid anything you would rather not have on site. The Request Shelf then lets the people using the machine suggest items, which we review alongside sales data and what the machine can support.
Pricing & placement
Are prices posted clearly?
Yes. Pricing is posted clearly on the machine, along with support information and the refund path. No surprises at the point of sale.
Do you place machines outdoors?
Most placements are indoors, where the machine stays clean, secure, and reliable. We consider covered or semi-protected outdoor areas case by case, based on power, weather exposure, and security.
